ReBirthがディスコン

ReBirthReBirthについて質問です。登録など完了して
ReBirthをダウンロード（214M）したんですが
それ以降よく分からずにCDに焼いてみましたが
うまくインストールが出来ません。この辺を詳しく
載っているサイトなどありましたが、ぜひ教えてください。よろしくお願いします。
ちなみに、ディスコンってなんですか？

ReBirthも今回、これ以上開発とかメンテとかサポートとかしませんよっていう状態になった訳ですね。

ダウンロードしたのはMac版でしょうかWindows版でしょうか。
焼いたのはどんなアプリケーションでしょうか。
その辺が判らないと何とも。

DLしたのはWin番のReBirth 2.0.1 Torrentというものです
http://azureus.sourceforge.netとういサイトから
P2Pソフトみたいのを経由して、rebirth_iso_installation.zipというファイルをおろしました。
焼いたものはDLしたものをそのまま焼いた感じです。

クリックするとPCに入っているイージーCDクリエーターが起動するばかりです。
PCはwinXPのアップデート済みです。
参考になるか分かりませんが、winのDLについて書いてある場所の
英文をそのまま載せてみます。
よろしくお願いします。

Installing using CD/DVD authoring software (requires blank CD-R disc) Download "ReBirth RB-338 2.0 iso.iso" and burn the image to disc. Launch the "Install ReBirth RB-338.exe" from your disc. Follow the instructions on screen.

What software should I choose?
For burning a CD you can always try Nero, it's a tried and tested application.

僕は使った事がないのですが、データを焼くようなボタンとかメニューないですか？そこから、ダウンロードしたReBirth RB-338 2.0 iso.isoを選んでCD-Rに焼けるんじゃないでしょうかね。

イージーCDクリエーターはそれです。CDには焼けたんですが
rebirth_iso_installation.zipを解凍すると
rebirth_iso_installationというものが出てきます。
プロバティーで見ると、ファイルの種類は
Easy CD Creator イメージ ファイルになっています。
焼くことは出来るんですが、本来のReBirth RB-338 2.0 iso.isoという
ファイルが出ないんです。

デスクトップ上でやっても、CDに焼いたものでも
症状はおなじで、CDクリエーターが起動してしまいます。

どなたか成功した方がいると嬉しいのですがね...。

横やりで失礼します。
Easy CD Creatorの「ファイル」メニューで「CDイメージからCDに書き込む」を選択し、
「ファイルの種類」を「ISOイメージファイル（*.iso）」に指定して
「rebirth_iso_installation.zip」の解凍済ファイルを指定していますか？
そのまま書き込むと、イメージファイルをファイルのままCDに書き込んでいることになります。
上記のように指定すればReBirthのインストールCDが出来上がるはずですがいかがでしょうか。
見当違いのコメントだったらすみませんが、ご参考まで。

PC修理を出していたので、お返事遅れました。
インストールCDが無事出来ました。ありがあとうございます。
やはり通りすがりさんのご指摘の通り、そのままCDに書き込んだのが原因だったみたいです。
あとはメインソフトと連動してくれるとありがたいのですが...
